Terms
Terms of Service
These terms govern access to Zohal, a STEM study workbench with document, tutoring, and verification capabilities. By creating an account, joining a workspace, or using the service, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the organization you represent.
Last updated: October 14, 2026Parties and authority
“Zohal,” “we,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Zohal service. “Customer,” “you,” and “your” refer to the person, company, government entity, or organization that creates or uses a Zohal account or workspace.
If you use Zohal for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization, assign users, configure workspaces, and submit material into the service.
If there is a separate signed agreement with Zohal for the same subject matter, that agreement controls where it expressly conflicts with these online terms.
Service scope
Zohal helps people study from source documents, mark problems, work by hand in anchored scratchpads, and receive restrained tutoring and computational verification.
How Zohal handles data is described in the Privacy Notice. It does not replace your internal governance, legal review, data protection officer, security program, or vendor risk process.
The service may include document reading and retrieval, study sessions, anchored scratchpads, handwriting recognition, computational checks, AI tutoring, usage records, billing, and administrative controls.
Accounts and workspaces
You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure, assigning appropriate workspace roles, and ensuring that users are authorized to process the material they submit.
A workspace is the access boundary. Organization owners and admins are responsible for workspace settings and team access.
Actions taken through an account or workspace are treated as authorized by the customer unless you notify us promptly of suspected compromise or unauthorized use.
You must keep account, billing, organization, and security contact information accurate so we can send operational, legal, and incident notices.
Customer content and instructions
Customer content includes questions, documents, chat and study content, handwritten work, workspace settings, support materials, and other data submitted to or generated through Zohal.
You are responsible for the legality, accuracy, quality, and authorization of customer content, including obtaining any required notices, permissions, approvals, or consent before processing personal data through the service.
Zohal processes customer content to provide the service, follow workspace configuration, comply with your documented instructions, secure the service, and meet legal obligations.
Acceptable use
Do not use Zohal to process unlawful content, attempt to bypass security controls, reverse engineer protected service components, overload the service, or submit data you are not authorized to handle.
You must not rely on Zohal to intentionally conceal illegal activity, mislead regulators, or evade contractual obligations to data subjects, customers, employers, or public authorities.
You must not use the service to build competing models from Zohal outputs, scrape service data, introduce malware, test security without written permission, or interfere with other customers.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of AI providers and exported material complies with your internal policies and applicable law.
AI providers and outputs
When Zohal sends your material to an AI provider to answer a request, that provider's own terms and privacy commitments may apply. Zohal does not control third-party model behavior or guarantee model output accuracy.
AI output may be incomplete, incorrect, or unsuitable for regulated decisions. Review outputs before using them in employment, legal, medical, financial, compliance, or customer-impacting contexts.
Zohal does not detect, mask, or remove personal data from what you submit. Do not submit personal, confidential, or regulated information you are not authorized to have processed by Zohal and its AI providers.
You remain responsible for human review, professional judgment, and final decisions made using AI-assisted outputs.
Subscriptions and payment
Paid plans are billed monthly in Saudi riyals. The Pro price includes VAT; other riyal prices are shown before VAT, which is added at checkout where applicable. Card payments are processed by Moyasar, and Zohal does not store raw card details.
Subscriptions renew monthly using a tokenized card reference unless cancelled for renewal at period end. Failed renewals may place the workspace in a past-due or expired state after any grace period.
Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly agreed in writing. Taxes, bank fees, currency conversion fees, and payment-provider charges are your responsibility where applicable.
We may update prices or plan packaging by giving reasonable notice before the change applies to a future renewal.
Plan limits
Plan limits apply to seats, AI requests, and features shown on the pricing page. Zohal may block or throttle activity that exceeds the active plan.
If an organization downgrades, cancels, or fails payment, access may be reduced to the applicable free or expired-plan behavior.
Usage counters, entitlement checks, and billing states in Zohal systems are the authoritative basis for plan enforcement unless we identify a clear error.
A downgrade or expiry may limit access to premium controls, saved workspace settings, historical threads, exports, or administrative features until the account returns to an eligible plan.
Beta and availability
Some Zohal features are early-stage or pilot features. They may change, be rate-limited, or be removed as the product matures.
We aim to operate the service reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, or permanent compatibility with every AI provider.
Maintenance, emergency fixes, third-party outages, abuse prevention, legal requirements, and security events may temporarily affect availability or functionality.
Beta features are provided for evaluation and may have reduced support commitments, incomplete documentation, or different data-handling behavior described in the product interface.
Ownership
You retain ownership of your content and business data. Zohal retains ownership of the service, software, design, documentation, and product materials.
You grant Zohal the limited rights needed to provide, secure, support, bill, and improve the service according to these terms and the Privacy Notice.
Feedback, suggestions, and product ideas you provide may be used by Zohal without restriction or obligation, as long as we do not disclose your confidential customer content except as permitted by these terms or the Privacy Notice.
These terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights except for the limited rights needed to operate the service.
Confidentiality
Each party may receive non-public business, technical, security, product, pricing, or operational information from the other party. The receiving party must protect that information using reasonable care and use it only for the relationship under these terms.
Confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that is already public, independently developed without use of confidential information, lawfully received from another source, or required to be disclosed by law.
Zohal may disclose customer information to personnel, contractors, advisors, processors, and service providers who need it to operate, secure, support, or improve the service and who are subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.
Security and customer controls
Zohal uses technical and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the service, including access controls, role separation, data minimization, secret management, and payment tokenization.
You are responsible for using available controls appropriately, including workspace roles, local data controls, device security, and user offboarding.
You must promptly notify us if you believe an account, workspace, token, device, or integration has been compromised.
Third-party services
The service may depend on third-party providers for infrastructure, authentication, payments, AI routing, analytics, security, support, email, hosting, or other operational needs.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms. Zohal is not responsible for third-party services that you choose, authorize, connect, or use outside Zohal's direct control.
We may change subprocessors or operational providers as needed to maintain or improve the service, subject to applicable legal obligations and the Privacy Notice.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend access if use creates security risk, violates these terms, exceeds plan limits, causes payment failure, or is required by law.
You may stop using the service at any time. Cancellation affects future renewals; account and usage records may be retained as described in the Privacy Notice.
After termination or expiry, we may delete or restrict access to customer content according to our retention practices, legal duties, backup cycles, and product capabilities.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including payment obligations, confidentiality, ownership, limitations of liability, dispute terms, and data-retention provisions.
Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zohal is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, or fitness for a particular regulated use.
Zohal will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data caused by customer configuration, third-party providers, unauthorized use, or failure to maintain backups, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
Any liability cap or mandatory warranty required by Saudi law will apply only to the extent it cannot be excluded or limited by contract.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without prejudice to mandatory rights that cannot be waived.
The parties will first try to resolve disputes in good faith through written notice and escalation. If unresolved, disputes will be handled by the competent courts or authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia unless a signed agreement states otherwise.
Contact info@zohal.ai for service questions, billing issues, or notices relating to these terms. Legal notices should include the account, organization name, contact details, and a clear description of the matter.
